10th October 2009: Celtic Charity Cup 5-a-Side Tournament
This tournament kicked off in 2007 with the previous winners being Phoenix Green (2007) and St Thomas Aquinas (2008).  This year's event took place at Powerleague in Glasgow, with a 12 noon KO.  Squads of 7 fought it out for the chance to lift the trophy (which will be engraved with the team name and permanently displayed in the Boardroom at Celtic Park) and play on the hallowed turf at Celtic Park during the half-time interval of a forthcoming match.  Congratulations to this year's champions, Emerald Isle.  A wonderful total of over £2,000 was raised for Celtic Charity Fund by all the teams involved.

Sunday 29th November 2009: 'Club Couture' 09 - The Celtic Charity Fund Fashion Show
The inaugural Club Couture event - sponsored by Portfolio, a MEVCO Brand - was held in the Kerrydale Suite and hosted by Clyde1 duo Romeo and Suzie McGuire.  The event was deemed a great success, with around £20,000 raised by all those who played their part.  The main beneificiary charities were Breast Cancer Care Scotland and The John Hartson Foundation @ Checkemlads.com.
House of Fraser provided clothing and accessories for the stunning catwalk show which featured 1st team players - including Marc Crosas, Danny Fox, Marc-Antoine Fortune and Glenn Loovens - members of the Celtic Ladies FC squad, stars of River City and family members of football staff.  The Diamond Studio supplied sparkling jewellery for the finale.
The fashion show was the focal point of an evening which will also included a fabulous 3 course meal, auction, raffle and a superb live music set from Scotland's latest singing sensation, Motherwell FC's Jim O'Brien.

Thursday 4th March 2010: Celtic Charity Fund Sporting Dinner
Our 2010 event - sponsored by Portfolio, a MEVCO brand - took place in the Kerrydale Suite on Thursday 4th March.  It was an evening of top class entertainment with a hilarious set from Glasgow comedian Kevin Bridges, live music from a Rat Pack Tribute Act all the way from London's West End and an auction and raffle hosted by the inimitable Andy Cameron.
The main beneficiary charity was the Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust which aims to raise the profile and awareness of skin cancer and help in its prevention.  It was set up by Tommy's daughters, Jenna and Emma: "When Dad passed away the tributes and messages of support were so overwhelming that it almost didn't seem real, it still doesn't.  To see the streets of the city lined with people paying their respects to someone we simply knew as 'Dad' was quite surreal.  It was then we thought we should give something back and went about setting up this charity in his name.  The backing of Celtic Charity Fund and its supporters is a Godsend."
We were very privileged to be joined by the Burns family on the night, which was also attended by first team players, football management, directors, corporate clients and supporters.

Saturday 27th March 2010: Celtic Charity Fund Matchday Collection
The Charity Fund's annual matchday collection took place at the Kilmarnock game on Saturday 27th March.  Volunteer helpers were in place at every turnstile area distributing unique charity ribbons.  The main beneficiary of the event was Oxfam Scotland and, in particular, their work in tackling poverty and improving education in Africa.  Your wonderful efforts resulted in a donation of £10,000.  Check the website for information on the event for season 2010/11.

Friday 2nd (Good Friday) and Saturday 3rd April 2010: Charity Abseil
Celtic Charity Fund hosted its inaugural charity abseil - in partnership with Cystic Fibrosis Trust - on Good Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd April 2010.  The event was sponsored by Forrest Group.  Almost 200 participants got the exhilarating opportunity to abseil off the roof of the Main Stand at Celtic Park, while raising funds for charity.

As result, a fantastic total of over £45,000 was raised!  50% of the final proceeds will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the remaining 50% will be disbursed to a host of worthy causes through the Celtic Charity Fund funding application process.

We are planning another sponsored event for season 2010/11 so check back for further details!
