overview

Celtic is now consolidating its various community based activities under the title of the Celtic Foundation.  The Celtic Foundation will integrate a number of very successful project areas with new business ideas.  The Celtic Foundation will incorporate:

  • Football in the Community and community coaching programmes across both  domestic and international markets;
  • Celtic Charity Fund
  • Celtic Learning Programmes and the Learning Centre
  • Social Inclusion Programmes
  • Anti-bigotry initiatives, including anti-racism and anti-sectarianism
  • The Old Firm Alliance Project
  • Celtic Against Drugs

This new structure is indicative of the importance Celtic attaches to its role in the community.  The Celtic Foundation reinforces that role and responsibility the Club attaches to working alongside key partners to deliver on key policy direction set by the Scottish Executive.

Celtic in the Community has the capacity and capability to deliver the notion of building stronger local communities that influence positively on:

  • health and well-being
  • education
  • employment
  • anti-bigotry initiatives
  • social inclusion
  • anti-social behaviour

Nationally, Celtic in the Community has delivered a series of programmes in Ireland and feedback to date has been extremely positive with over 3000 youngsters participating in our School Holiday Programme.

Internationally, work is underway to promote Celtic in the Community in countries such as North America, Canada, Australia, and Asia.

Celtic Football Club brings unique attributes that make them the perfect delivery vehicle through which to deliver to the Young People of our Communities and enhance the profile of your organisation through an association with Celtic in the Community.

The stature and experience of the coaching staff (over 100), many of who are ex-players, is unrivalled. The track record of successful service delivery is outstanding with a multitude of organisations from the Private, Public and Voluntary sectors utilising the name and expertise of Celtic Football Club to bring success to their initiatives.

In a recent project delivered in Glasgow through the New Opportunities Initiative unprecedented levels of success were achieved.  A massive 83% of participants involved demonstrated a positive change in the lifestyle characteristic that resulted in their initial nomination for the programme. The Old Firm Alliance Project is another excellent example of partnership working with Key Performance Indicators reaching a high of 97%. This is the kind of impact that Celtic Football Club can have on Young People’s lives.

  • through its facilities/locations
  • through its processes - superior coaching programmes to meet specific markets.
