Speaking exclusively in this year’s Celtic View Christmas edition, which you can purchase here to read the full interview, she said: “There’s a lot to do when I come home after training, as you’re tired but I have to study.

'That has been hard because there is a lot of pressure, but I want to do it so I’m making it work.'

“It’s been my dream since I was 10 to be an architect and a footballer. I have loved it since I discovered it and just really want to draw and build houses and make something of my own.”

The Iceland Under-19 internationalist signed a two-year deal in the summer from Thor KA. And adjusting to life in a new country has been made easier for her after moving into accommodation with six of her team-mates.

She added: “I trained every day back at home but we weren’t a professional team so we didn’t eat breakfast or lunch together, we just trained once a day, so I had to adjust a little bit.

“I’ve made some really good friends here – they’ve been helping me so much. I think that has helped me get into the team, to live with the girls 24/7.

“That’s one of the reasons I wanted to come to Scotland because everyone speaks English and I learned that language in school, so that’s helped me a lot to be able to speak to the girls.”
