Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic showcased their attacking qualities once again in a stunning display at Fir Park to beat Motherwell 4-0.

Three first half goals put the Bhoys in command thanks to strikes from Liel Abada and two from Tom Rogic.

Then into the second half, it was Daizen Maeda who got the final goal to seal a tremendous afternoon of football.

After Wednesday night’s heroics, the question was whether the Celts could live up to that performance once again.

From minute one, the Bhoys showed they were more than capable as Ange Postecoglou’s men came out fighting and Abada forced Liam Kelly into an early save after just two minutes.

Giorgos Giakoumakis was leading the line again and he was the next one to test Kelly on 27 minutes and was unfortunate to see his effort well saved by the keeper.

But just a minute later, Kelly would be picking the ball out the net as it was the same combination for our third goal on Wednesday that sealed our first at Fir Park.

Hatate found himself in space on the left and played a delightful left foot cross to Abada who was racing into the back post and he smashed it low into the bottom left corner with his left foot.

That seemed to ignite Celtic as three minutes later it was 2-0. This time it was Rogic, who was back in the team after returning from international duty with a typical stunner.

Picking the ball up 25 yards from goal, the Australian curled a screamer into the top left corner to send the Hoops fans in the away end delirious.

Rogic was enjoying himself on the right of the midfield and almost had his second on 43 minutes but just two minutes later, on the stroke of half time, he would get it.

A defence-splitting pass from Anthony Ralston set up Abada down the right wing and his cutback found Rogic making a late run into the box and he had the composure to calmly slot it into the top left corner.

It was a scintillating opening 45 minutes of attacking football as once again the Celts would go into the break with a three-goal lead.
