The Celtic juggernaut driven by Ange Postecoglou hits the roads and the miles to Dundee tomorrow (Wednesday) knowing that a 31^st consecutive unbeaten league encounter will steer them conclusively to the SPFL title – the Celts will be champions.

With a six-point advantage at the top of the pile and a superior goal-difference of 20 goals with two games remaining, only the impossible will prevent the Hoops from celebrating the title with the Celtic support around 5.45 on Saturday after the Motherwell match at Paradise.

However, whether they go into that match as champions or champions-elect depends on what happens at Tannadice tomorrow night in the penultimate match against Dundee United.

The manager has his sights set on making it a ‘special night’ on Tayside for the travelling Celtic fans and the countless others watching on TV screens all over the world, and that means only one thing – securing the title at the earliest possible opportunity.

The manager said this morning: “We had a good session yesterday, we are about to go out for another one today and the players are in good spirits and looking forward to it.

'We are under no illusions that tomorrow night we’ve got the opportunity to make it a special night for the football club and our supporters.'

“I’m sure they’ll enjoy it after last year’s disappointment, not just the fact that we didn’t have success as a football club, but they weren’t able to feel a part of it because they couldn’t contribute.

“They weren’t allowed in the stadiums, so I think this year, everyone has put in maximum effort including our supporters

“Everything they had pent up from last year, they’ve kind of released this year in a positive way. So I’m sure everyone’s looking forward to the final two games.

“Our role in that is to just make sure we continue on with our good form and continue on from the football we played on the weekend, take that into tomorrow night and, as I said, take the opportunity to make it a special night.”
