Gustaf Lagerbielke can't wait to get his first taste of UEFA Champions League football and experience the noise of Celtic Park for the first time.

The UEFA Champions League draw sees Celtic into Group E alongside Dutch champions, Feyenoord, Serie A side Lazio and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

It's a mouth-watering draw as the Hoops get set to go up against some of the best that Europe has to offer, and it's a test that the Swedish defender can't wait to tackle.

Speaking after the UEFA Champions League group-stage, said: "I’m looking forward to it. It’s an exciting group and six difficult games, but it's a fun challenge and experience and we aim to get through to the next stages.

"One of the reasons for signing was, of course, the Champions League.

'Every young kid dreams of playing in the Champions League and now I will get the chance, which is nice.'

Celtic has history with all three of the teams in Group E, most recently taking on Lazio in 2019 and winning both games home and away.

Ties with Feyenoord and Atletico Madrid first date back to the 1970s when both teams were competing at the final and semi-final stages of the competition, with more recent games with the Madrid side taking place in 2011.

Celtic haven't reached the knockout stages of the competition since the last 16 in 2013, but Lagerbielke is eyeing progression and believes the Hoops can qualify with the backing of the Paradise crowd.

He added: "I think with the Champions League, all the groups are going to be good.

'Every team is good but the main experience is playing here at Paradise on European nights so the draw is just fun.'

"Every group is tough and this group is really tough and I'm looking forward to the challenge.

"With the fans backing us and the atmosphere that can be created, we have a high chance of winning at home and hopefully, we can use that to our advantage and get some victories."
