It was a night of celebration at the annual Celtic Player of the Year Awards held in Glasgow tonight (Sunday).

Hundreds of Celtic supporters gathered to enjoy an event which highlighted another successful season for the club across all its teams, with numerous awards handed out on the night.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have secured their second consecutive Scottish Premiership title, and also have the chance to win a domestic treble next month, while the Celtic FC Women’s team are still in the running for two trophies.

Fran Alonso’s side have taken their title bid to the last day of the league season, while there is a Scottish Cup final at the end of the month.

And the Celtic B team, on the back on an impressive Lowland League campaign, delivered silverware in the shape of the Glasgow Cup last week.

Kyogo scooped his own treble on the night, winning the Player of the Year award, voted for by the fans, as well as the Players’ Player of the Year Award. And he also picked up the Top Goalscorer of the Year trophy, having already hit 30 goals for the Hoops this season.

Caitlin Hayes, meanwhile, won a double, with the Celtic defender rewarded for an impressive campaign with the Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards.

The Celtic fans voted Matt O’Riley their Young Player of the Year, while Ben Summers, who recently made his first-team debut, was the Academy Player of the Year.

In the Goal of the Season category, another award voted for by the fans, it was Jota’s sublime goal in the 4-0 demolition derby at Paradise back in September last year.

And on a night when every award winner was warmly greeted, there was a rousing celebration when the recipient of the Special Recognition Award was announced.

Celtic legend, Tom Boyd, a title-winning and treble-winning captain during his time as a player, is an extremely popular figure with fans, and he remains a passionate Celtic supporter.

He is now a club ambassador, and his ongoing support for Celtic FC Foundation is something that every fan appreciates.
