The 20-year-old signed a four-year deal with Celtic in June 2020, joining from Sheffield Wednesday where he had come through the ranks, from youth academy to first-team player.

"I’ve signed now, so it’s up to me to start performing on the pitch."

Describing himself as a box-to-box midfielder, Liam Shaw made 22 appearances in season 2020/21 for Sheffield Wednesday. On signing for Celtic, he said: “It feels good, obviously. It’s a really nice kit in green. I’ve always been in blue but green is my new favourite colour!”
