Hana Kerner

Hana Kerner joined Celtic as the first signing in the 2023 winter window, linking up with the Hoops following a season with Swedish side Pitea.

The wing-back graduated from Virginia where she played college football alongside her studies in the university’s business school before plying her trade at Orlando Pride, in France with Stade Renais, in Finland with Tikkurilan Palloseura before heading to Sweden. 

Bringing dynamism, strength and a high work-rate to the right hand side, Kerner offers a more natural option for the preferred wing-back system.

During her first six months with the club, Kerner had a positive impact, helping the Ghirls reach the Scottish Cup final and also playing in front of over 11,000 fans in the 3-1 win over Glasgow City.

Her first goal for the Hoops came during Celtic's defence of the Scottish Cup, scoring an important second half leveller in the quarter-final victory against Hearts.
